How we solve it
We measure every slope, specify the panel profile, gauge and finish, and install over high temperature underlayment with concealed clips that let the panels expand and contract. Flashing and trim are fabricated to match. The finished roof is inspected seam by seam.

Roughly two to three times the cost of architectural shingles, but it lasts two to three times as long and can lower cooling and insurance costs. Over the life of the home it is often the cheaper roof.
02Is a metal roof noisy in the rain?
Not when installed over a solid deck with underlayment. It sounds like any other roof from inside the home.
03Does metal roofing help in fire zones?
Yes. Metal is noncombustible and a properly installed assembly carries a Class A rating, which matters for homes in very high fire hazard severity zones across the Bay Area.
04Can you install metal over my existing roof?
In some cases a metal roof can go over one layer of shingles on battens, but we usually recommend a tear off so the deck can be inspected and the warranty is clean.
