What we do
Skylights are one of the most common leak points on any roof, and one of the most rewarding upgrades when installed right. We install new skylights, replace old acrylic bubbles with modern glass units, and repair the flashing that is almost always the real cause of a leaking skylight. Skylight work is best done during a reroof, and we fold it into the project when you want it.

Why skylights leak
What usually goes wrong
Almost never through the glass. Leaks come from aged flashing kits, cracked curb seals, and skylights that were installed with roofing cement instead of a proper step flashing system. A fogged or yellowed dome is a sign the unit is at the end of its life and should be replaced rather than resealed again.
How we solve it
We assess the existing units and the roof around them, recommend replacement or repair, and install with the manufacturer flashing kit integrated into the roofing system. Interior finishes are protected and the roof is weathertight the same day.
What actually sets the price of skylight installation and repair
No two roofs cost the same, and anyone who quotes over the phone is guessing. These are the six things we measure before we write a number.

Almost always yes. The flashing has to be redone anyway, old units are usually near the end of their life, and doing it together avoids opening the new roof later.
02Can you fix a leaking skylight without replacing it?
If the unit is sound and the problem is flashing, yes. If the seals or the dome have failed, replacement is the honest answer.
03Which skylight brands do you install?
Velux is our standard for glass units, with sun tunnels for hallways and bathrooms where a full skylight does not fit.
04Do skylights add heat in summer?
Modern glazed units with low E coatings add far less heat than old acrylic domes, and vented models actually help exhaust hot attic air.
