We had a great experience working with Precise Roofing on our roof replacement. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and efficient. The quality of their work really stands out. Our new roof looks amazing, and everything was completed with great attention to detail. Joseph was especially fantastic to work with. He was very responsive, communicative, and always available to answer our questions, which made the entire process much less stressful. He kept us informed every step of the way and made sure everything stayed on schedule. We truly appreciate the team’s hard work and would highly recommend Precise Roofing to anyone looking for reliable, high quality roofing services.
We recently had our roof completely replaced. David Sherry answered all of our questions leading up to and during the job. He showed integrity and shared our concerns. We got several quotes before but felt that Precise Roofing had the experience to get it done right. We are very pleased with the finished roof, and would highly recommend Precise Roofing to another prospective customer. See our photos, which say it all. Thanks very much to the crew: Great job!
Service was outstanding!!! Starting with Toni. He is friendly, competent, knowledgeable and professional. Communicating with me regularly. The team who replaced the roof: extremely hard working, friendly, and respectful. I am very pleased with the results, added another 30 years to my house. Thank you!
Would like to take time and say thanks to Precise Roofing as they did a great and remarkable job in our home. Not only were they a great price, their service was outstanding and time frame kept as promised. So happy with them that my sister is hiring them for her roofing job that is needed.
What we do
Roof replacement is the one roofing project you should only have to do once. We strip the old roofing down to the wood deck, replace any plywood that has rotted or delaminated, rebuild the system with new underlayment, flashing, ventilation and drip edge, then install the roofing material you chose. Every stage is photographed from the roof and from the air, so you can see the deck, the underlayment and the finished field without climbing a ladder.

Step and counter flashing where the stone meets the shingles. The number one leak source we find on Bay Area roofs.
When replacement beats another repair
What usually goes wrong
If your roof is past twenty years, if leaks come back in a new spot every winter, if shingles are curling or shedding granules across whole slopes, or if the deck feels soft underfoot, you are paying for repairs that cannot win. A full replacement resets the clock, fixes the hidden deck and ventilation problems that caused the leaks, and gives you a warranty that actually means something.
How we solve it
It starts with a free inspection and a written proposal that spells out materials, wood repair pricing and the schedule. On day one the crew protects your landscaping, tears off the old roof and inspects every sheet of plywood. Underlayment and flashing go on the same day the deck is exposed, the new roofing follows, and we finish with a magnetic nail sweep, a drone flyover and a walkthrough with you.
Six layers. Zero shortcuts.
Tap or hover a layer to see what goes into every Precise installation. The exploded view opens as you scroll.
Every layer is installed to the manufacturer spec that backs the warranty.
What actually sets the price of roof replacement
No two roofs cost the same, and anyone who quotes over the phone is guessing. These are the six things we measure before we write a number.
Steeper and larger roofs take more material and more time on the rope. Both are measured, not guessed.
One layer or two, and whether the old roof is shingle, shake or tile, changes the labor and the disposal.
Rotten sheets are replaced at a per sheet price you approve before we start, never a surprise on the invoice.
Standard architectural, impact rated, designer, or tile and metal systems. Each tier changes material cost and warranty length.
Chimneys, skylights, valleys and sidewalls take flashing work. The more there are, the more time the details take.
Tight lots, steep driveways and long carries add handling. Debris hauling and the dumpster are always in the number.

(888) 288-1885Free inspection01How long does a roof replacement take in the Bay Area?
Most single family homes take two to four days. Larger homes, tile roofs and projects with heavy deck repair can run a few days longer. We give you a start date and a finish date before we begin, and we do not leave the roof open overnight.
02Do I need a permit to replace my roof?
Yes, every Bay Area city and county requires a permit for a reroof, and California Title 24 cool roof requirements apply in many cases. We pull the permit, schedule the inspections and handle the paperwork as part of the job.
03What happens if you find rotten plywood?
We price wood replacement per sheet in the proposal before work begins, so there is never a surprise. Once the old roof is off we photograph any damaged decking and show you exactly what is being replaced and why.
04Can you replace a roof that has solar panels?
Yes. We coordinate the detach and reset of your solar array so the panels come off before the tear off and go back on once the new roof is finished and inspected.
05How much does a new roof cost?
It depends on roof size, pitch, material, the number of layers coming off and the condition of the deck. That is exactly why the inspection and the estimate are free. You get a real number for your roof, in writing.
